Random tingling in urethra

Hi. So I had unprotected anal sex (top) a little over 5 weeks ago with a guy that told me he was clean of everything. However, I am not experiencing a tingling in my urethra. It doesn't hurt to pee or anything, and I didn't get any of the flu like symptoms that some STD's had. Should I be concerned that this is an STD or is it all in my head?

Alright. I am in college right now and it can actually be kind of difficult to find a center that does a blood test  for most STD's for free. My college charges for my HIV tests and those are there cheapest tests at 25 dollars. As long as it isn't HIV or syphilis, I am not ready to drop 40+ dollars for a test.

Some may not show symptoms, why testing is recommended.

Also, don't most STD's manifest themselves within 1-2 weeks if they are going to show symptoms? Isn't 5 weeks a bit of a stretch?

I already know that I have really bad anxiety with this stuff. The guy I hooked up with was on PrEP, but I was still scared I got HIV somehow. In the 2 weeks leading up to my test, I lost about 6 pounds just from the fact that I couldn't eat anything because I was so anxious/nervous.

That sounds like anxiety related symptoms, but it never hurts to test.

Also, the less I think about it or when I am in class focusing on a lecture, the tingling completely goes away. When I focus on it is when it comes back and I can feel it.

I got tested for HIV 2 weeks after with nothing and am going again this Wednesday for a five week check. I am not getting any of the common symptoms, however. No swollen lymph nodes or sore throat. No rashing or anything. Also, HIV doesn't seem to have tingling in the urethra, but more so genital warts as a symptom.

I would be concerned about STD's and HIV.
You can test for gonorrhea and chlamydia now, syphilis at 6 weeks and herpes at 3 months. HIV questions post in the HIV forum.

USE CONDOMS.
