Risk of sti/std from two protected encounters?

Last month while on vacation I had protected sex with two different women (separate occasions). Condom stayed intact during oral and vaginal intercourse. Time frame is these encounters were a week apart. Days later no symptoms but felt full of anxiety, resentment and stressing about it. Went to get tested 24 days after first encounter (17 days after the second encounter) and luckily everything came back negative. Yet I am still worried that I have might caught something even with being as careful as I was. This experience has really opened my eyes about sex and the mindless hook up culture that exists. I plan to get retested next month and also plan to never be so reckless with my body and sex life. My question is my mind playing tricks on me after such events or should I be worried that I actually caught something even with no symptoms.

Your risk level here is very low.

You had no risk at all for HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia, NGU, mycoplasma, and trich because you used a condom. Congrats.

You have a low risk of herpes, syphilis and HPV. Condoms don't offer full protection for those, but they do offer significant protection.

Syphilis is uncommon in most developed countries. If you have this, you'll get a round, painless sore between 10-90 days, the average is 3 weeks. You can test at 6 weeks.

Herpes causes blisters, usually between 2-12 days. You can test for this at 12 weeks, but most test positive much sooner. If you don't get symptoms, I'd caution you about testing. There are a decent number of false positives on the hsv2 IgG blood test, and it can take several weeks/months to unravel, and several hundred dollars.

The incubation period for HPV is as short as 1 months, and could be several months. There is no test for men.

I wouldn't worry if I were you - you had protected everything. The presence of hair isn't a big deal, but the fact that you weren't freshly shaven with nicks or cuts does help you.

Thank you auntiejessi…I was hoping to hear from you on this subject. I will without a doubt get tested again within the coming month but your response gave me some peace of mind for the time being. Thank you for that.
You're welcome. Just remember that your risk is really low.

Hello, original poster here…would also like to point out that I had a decent amount of pubic hair when these encounters happened (all has been shaven since then). Not sure if this adds or takes away from anything.
