Positive for Chlamydia

Hello,
I saw my post got deleted. However, I tested positive for chlamydia day 7. Took antibiotic, and waiting on my body to heal.

Is chlamydia transmitted through oral? rubbing? I am trying to belive that this man was actually tested.

1. Would those have been my symptoms of the burning in the vulva related to chlamydia, but haven't shown up in results yet?

2. could I have it in my throat, this explains my hsv1 breakout and lymph node tenderness?

3. When do the symptoms start to get better?

4. Could he have been lying?

I am on day 9 post-exposure. Tested on day 7.
I assume i should retest for HIV Syphilis Hepatitis in a month.

5. Shouldn't i t be showing any signs of herpes by now? especially at day 9?

thanks

I'm surprised you got a positive test because weren't you on meds for a UTI?

Your situation is really complicated, since you recently had a colposcopy, a UTI, started birth control, etc. I can say that women receiving oral sex doesn't usually transmit chlamydia, but anyone performing oral on a penis can get chlamydia in their throat. The antibiotic you took will cure that, though, if you did.

1. Would those have been my symptoms of the burning in the vulva related to chlamydia, but haven't shown up in results yet?

You got a positive result. I'm not sure what you mean by this, but if you have questions about specific symptoms and tests, you should contact your doctor.

2. could I have it in my throat, this explains my hsv1 breakout and lymph node tenderness?

No way to know if that triggered your hsv1 outbreak.

3. When do the symptoms start to get better?

It can take the full 7 days for symptoms to go away. You should start seeing an improvement soon.

4. Could he have been lying?

Sure. People lie. Or he could have tested, and then had sex he didn't tell you about and got infected, or he tested too soon after his exposure, or he was on antibiotics when he took the test and got a false negative, anything. We have no way of knowing this.

5. Shouldn't i t be showing any signs of herpes by now? especially at day 9?

Yes. I wouldn't worry about herpes.

I assume i should retest for HIV Syphilis Hepatitis in a month. - I'm sure you've been vaccinated for hep B. I wouldn't worry about the heps. Just get an HIV and syphilis test in a month.

Your medical situation is really complicated, Gemi, and you need to talk to your doctor about what symptoms you're having.

Also, I don't know that I've been helping your anxiety. You're coming here and posting almost daily with anxious questions, and I think I've just fed your anxiety by answering the same questions over and over. You know all this stuff now. I'm sorry I may have hurt you in the long run. Please call your therapist and use the referrals given to you at the ER. If your anxiety is bad enough that you're going to the ER, that's really very serious. Take care of your mental health.
