Simple Question about Re-Infection

I'm wondering if a person can

1) become infected and show no symptoms of an infection (chlamydia, gonorrhea, herpes, HPV, etc.)
2) infect your partner with the infection
3) be re-infected with the same strain of infection from your now symptomatic, infected partner and
4) only then, upon re-infection, do you show symptoms of infection.

Please let me know

Hi Vance, I dont think i was clear. Here's what i was wondering:

Can this situation happen:

A = man
B = woman

1. A catches chlamydia from stranger but shows no symptoms

2. Three months later, A has vaginal sex with B

3. B catches chlamydia from A and developes symtoms

4. A has vaginal sex with B again before B's symptoms are full blown

5. A now developes chlamydia symtoms
