Symptoms of syphilis?

Hello,
I have experienced the following symptoms and was wondering if they could be due to syphilis
1. Intermittent chest pains
2. Small skin growth near anus
3. Small reddish brown mark on palm of my hand near the thumb (about 0.5cm long), disappeared after about 3-4 weeks
4. Pressure in ears and faint ringing in left ear

Could these symptoms be caused by syphilis? Should I get tested?

Background: I had a protected vaginal intercourse with a prostitute in Germany back in August 2017. This is the last and only sexual activity that I’ve had in my life. I’m in a relationship now and want to know if I should get tested so that I don’t infect my new partner unwittingly.
The city where I live now doesn’t have syphilis testing facility and I don’t want to bother my doctor about this. I could go to another city for test but it would mean taking a day off. Just want some advice before I undertake too much effort.

On the off chance that I am syphilis positive, how long does the treatment take? Will I be able to have unprotected sex after the treatment?

Thank you

If during your sexual intercourse you touched any of the lesions that syphilis causes on the sking, you were exposed to this infection, even wearing condom.

As it's not always good to follow the symptoms, and you are in a relationship, it would be interesting to test for syphilis, and I would recommend you to test also for herpes, which can be transmitted through the contact skin to skin. If your sexual intercourse was more than 3 months ago, both tests will be accurate.

Thanks for your reply. As far as I could tell, she didn’t have any lesions or sores of any kind. Also I’ve already got herpes simplex before, just not on my genitals. So I don’t think i could get infected twice. I read a comment of Dr. HHH here from a few years ago where he said that risk of any STD from a single protected encounter, even with a CSW is very very low
