STD Symptoms in less than 2 days? Scared for the upcoming days.

Please bear with me in this text.

Hello, I've been a follower of this forum since my first big scare back in 2016 with a CSW, which ended up transmitting HPV. After 5 years without them disappearing but a completely different, healthier lifestyle working out and eating healthy, I had my warts frozen off and thought about moving on with my life.

But, this weekend Oct 2 at about 4 am I went again and did something stupid in a half drunken and half bold state of mind. After hanging with friends (lots of barbecue and beer), some decided to go pick up CSW from streets in South America and we ended up in motel rooms. To my knowledge I didn't pass out, but out of trauma -because I don't want to remember- I can't fully detail the event. Though I do remember we used two condoms.

First she wanted to perform unprotected oral on me but I refused, so she put the condom on me. Then she got on top and it fell off while she was on top. We then switched positions with that same condom. After that we went on to use the other condom.

Some kissing may have been involved -can't remember- in different positions (I know, strep or also covid is still around but I have the two shots in). I also don't remember if we did anal or not. To my knowledge, none of the condoms broke. I do remember not ejaculating at all, since it was a feat to be erected because of the partial drunk state. This event lasted like an hour. Before leaving, we were almost dressed up and I think she wanted me to try insertion without condom, which I also refused, but instead I just tried to finish on her back, not really touching her vaginal lips though, everything from above. After a few strokes, nothing. I gave up and we left.

Now, onto what I feel, besides excruciating anxiety:

This happened Saturday early morning. From there, the next day and today Monday, I've been having funny feelings in my testicles or scrotum.
- Trying to be specific, like a light pinching pressure on what would be my epididimys/vas deferens -yes I googled that up- or around there.
- Light pressure on my right thigh, between testicles and leg.
- Stomachache, lots of gasses and as of a few minutes, diarreah/watery stool (note, during the barbecue we ate a lot of meat and I almost choked on a chunk of meat that may have irritated my gastric juices)
- A somewhat increased urgency to urinate. But no burning, no itching in urethra or discharge.
- Sudden itchiness around my body, which I'm thinking is out of stress.
- Then, I'm just very anxious for the upcoming days and not wanting to expect visible symptoms to any STD.
- I've been having stress around my life lately and with this event, even more. I'm trembling a bit.

Note: I wasn't that drunk because I was fully aware of my belongings and picked all of them up. Some could've easily been forgotten in the motel.

Can anyone here give me their opinion and thoughts on these symptoms? I've read 2 days is way to early, but if I have these 2 days in, don't want to think what could happen in the next week or so.

I've also read that female to male transmission for one time encounter is extremely low with and even without condom, but I once had a protected episode before and ended up with HPV. While I don't have a partner to infect, I'm still concerned about my personal health, which I've been trying to regulate getting the warts frozen and all. Just don't want bad luck to happen to me twice.

I have an upcoming visit to urologist in late November, but my anxiety is getting the best of me. I'm planning on having a std panel done soon to rule this one plus any other previous interaction out.

I'm going to my therapist soon too.
Having intercourse is scaring the life out of me. But then, shouldn't it be a natural human thing?

Thanks in advance for all the comments and opinions.

I'm sorry you are so distraught over this.

HPV is an incredibly common infection, and it's estimated that 90% of us will get it at least once in our lifetimes. Is there a vaccine available where you are? Can you get it? That might help ease your mind. It doesn't totally protect you, but offers protection against a number of the more common strains.

I think a lot of your symptoms can be attributed to anxiety, drinking (even if you weren't totally drunk), eating all the barbecue meat, and maybe even dehydration (alcohol is dehydrating, and I'd assume that the meat and sauce was high in sodium).

It doesn't sound like you had any real risk. Yes, it's possible to get herpes, HPV and syphilis while wearing a condom, but the incubation period (time from infection to symptoms) for herpes is at the absolute minimum 2 days. HPV is several weeks, and syphilis is about 10 days. Condoms reduce the risk of that significantly.

Was the previous CSW your only partner? Do you only panic this much with CSWs? I ask because you did everything right. If you are active with other partners, are you using condoms with them, too?

I think meeting with your therapist is a great idea, and I hope it goes well.

auntiejessi, thank you so much for your kind follow up and for reading through.

I actually live in the States, just had to make a trip here. so i could go for the hpv vaccine back home.

to answer your questions:
- it has been my only sexual encounter this year. i was offered easy intercourse at a club in Florida but I refused after remembering campaigns about stds. i don’t know why I rather believe csw are safer than one off mingling episodes in FL.

- sort of. last encounter with a CSW was again in South America by the end of last year, but on that episode I was really drunk and couldn’t get an erection so I wasn’t really worried, besides the protection was always on.

my first encounter was also in a much drunken state with a heavier anxiety episode and a troubled lifestyle (overweight, bad sleep, stress, bad levels of cholesterol, etc in my body) and on that I’ll comment that I had what i’d call a canker sore on my lip but went to the clinic and had penicillin and a couple of Rxs to be on the safe side, then I went through a testing panel but everything came out negative which I didn’t get why. Months later I discovered tags/warts on my genitals.

- yes, i’d always use protection unless its a committed relationship with condom allergy being an issue on her end. don’t know how to go around that yet.

As of now, I’m only feeling pressure on my right side testicle and the stool has recovered a more solid state though a bit light in color.

I want to lean on my anxiety getting the best of me for the following days until testing, which is a total bummer.

again, thank you. i don’t know how to make a donation to the site but i kindly would.
No donations are needed, but thank you for the thought. :)

Condom allergy? Is she allergic to latex? There are also polyurethane condoms if someone is allergic to latex.

I asked you about other encounters because there is no way to know that you got the HPV from the previous encounter with the CSW. You could have gotten that from any of your partners in the previous several months, unless the only two encounters you've had were the two CSWs.

Your stool doesn't concern me so much in regards to STDs. That can be from what you're eating, stress, etc.

The pressure on your testicle - is that pain? Could that be anxiety?

Have you considered that you don't do well with alcohol? Some people just don't.

Are you in Central America for a long time? The HPV is a series, over 6 months.
auntjessi,

i’m in South America. Not Venezuela or Colombia though.
My first insertive encounter with a CSW was late November 2016. Condom slippage also happened and after a week or more I experienced the sore on my lip (cunnilingus), and then pressure in testicle and other symptoms. Never a rash, nor a fever, nor anything. This is when I realized I had HPV months after.

Then, 2 years ago I had two encounters with another CSW. One was unsuccessful due to lack of erection and the other got me a bit worried, did a panel and everything came back negative.

Then on late 2020 another encounter with another CSW and also a shameful moment due to lack of erection. In this one I wasn’t really worried.

After this I had my warts frozen, finally realized/accepted they were hpv warts and decided to have them off my system.

Finally, we come to this recent event. Which got me anxious.

- the pressure on my testicle/tube feels like a light pain or hold. It seems to come and go.
- stool is getting back to normal, thank your for the reassurance in ruling that out.
- as of now I saw one hive on my chest -but I tend to have one through my body every now and then since my first panic attack back in 2016, and when I’m really stressed out.

this would be my 4th day.

and yes, I’ve been controlling and reducing my drinking but I let myself go this time and didn’t think about everything else I have going on in my life right now. Now this is one more stress to my system.

I plan on getting an STD panel in early December after my visit to the urologist with his order. Do you recommend that? That’d be more or less 10 weeks after exposure.

You can get an STD panel sooner than that. You can test for gonorrhea, chlamydia and NGU at 5 days. You can test for HIV with a 4th generation at 28 days. You can test for syphilis at 6 weeks. You can test for herpes with an IgG blood test at 12 weeks.

This would all be for peace of mind, though. Your risk was really incredibly low for herpes, HPV and syphilis, and no risk for the rest of it. This is all sounding like anxiety.

I'm sorry I said Central America - I was thinking South America and have no idea why I typed Central lol.

Hives are not a symptom of STDs.

Hang in there, okay? Don't forget to meet with your therapist.

Thank you so much for the reassurance.

Definitely will address this with my therapist.
For now I’m thinking this pressure may be out of anxiety or trauma from the intercourse /epididmitys or however it is named.
Epididymitis is painful, not just pressure, but if you think you have that, you need to see your doctor.

Yes, this isn't really painful, but it bothers me. As of now, I'm feeling like my right leg lymph node is swollen, but it could be out of exercise and bad sitting posture lately. I went to my therapist yesterday and shared some relaxation techniques, but this is day 5 and I keep on edge with this :(
Okay, try to remember that you had very little risk here.

Also, there are several lymph nodes in your legs. If you had an infection, you wouldn't feel just one swollen, and we are terrible at telling what are swollen glands on ourselves. We all try to do that, and unless we are trained, we basically kinda suck at it.

You are experiencing anxiety and panic. Use your techniques, and if you think you need to see your doctor to hear that everything is fine, then do that. But go once, then let it go.

Hello auntiejessie,

Don’t mean to bother. But I’d like advice on this awareness of my urine I’ve been having lately. I can’t go to the doctor yet but will do so this week or as soon as possible.

So when I was showering, i peed in there and then after finishing, more urine started to come out. I’m quite confused, that is not a discharge right? But if it’s not, then is this a symptom of an std or uti?

No blood, no watery or mucous discharge.
Sorry again,
Thanks
No, that is not a discharge. That's urine.

Discharge is something you'd see on your underwear. It's very different.

You are very anxious. Make the time to go to the doctor.
Hello auntjessi, quick update on my end:

I've managed to schedule an appointment with my PCP for the 26th of this month so she can send me to do lab exams. That'd be 24 days after the exposure. Is that a good time for a whole panel of tests? I know 28 days are needed for the 4th gen.

Or should I go this weekend to an STD clinic and ask at least for the urine culture to rule out bacterial infections / UTIs?

I saw a red dot that looks like a pimple on my left leg but it's a bit at the back, not really next to the testicles or whatever. Constant itching around body is still going on as well as pressure on right thigh and right testicle -though it is not excruciating and it doesn't restrict me from moving. When I go to sleep and wake up I feel just fine, after a while that I get going, I begin to notice this.

Trying to get ahold of my head as days go by.
Thanks
Let's remember that you had very little risk for anything, and no risk for HIV. You don't need a whole panel of tests.

Your only risks here - and they are minimal - are for syphilis, herpes and HPV. There is no test for men and HPV. You can test for syphilis at 6 weeks, and herpes at 12 weeks with a type specific IgG. I would strongly caution you about that, though, unless you have symptoms (actual blisters), because the hsv2 IgG has a lot of false positives, and I don't think your anxiety could handle that.

No STD causes full body itching - that's likely anxiety. Your pressure on your right thigh and right testicle - that could be anxiety - as you get up and start moving, you have time to start thinking about it. It might be a pulled muscle, etc.

It could even be something totally unrelated to this event.

An STD clinic isn't likely to test you for a UTI - you'll need to see your doctor for that. You don't need an HIV test or testing for bacterial STDs, unless you've had other encounters with unprotected sex.
Hello again auntiejessi, sorry for coming back. I have an update that raised my anxiety.

So I've realized there has been some stains on some of my boxers (not all of them). Probably could've been after masturbation in the shower because some fluid may have been trapped there

BUT today 18/10 I sat for lunch -2 hours after showering- and felt like a drip coming out of my urethra. Went to the bathroom quickly to check and indeed found a transparent stain, and my urethra was watery. I touched it and saw watery, transparent discharge (?), that got on my nerves. It then formed some other transparent stains that could easily be taken away by rubbing them.

Other than that no symptoms, but I've read these clear discharges could be chlam or NGU. I still have 1 whole to go to my PCP + tests and the wait is stressful.

I'm very sorry and thank you again.

Also, being 16 days post exposure. How can or why is this discharge appearing now instead of the closest days post-exposure?
*maybe i've had these stains then but I didn't really notice* :(

Also keep in mind I’ve boosted my inmune system by losing weight, eating healthier and taking vitamin C and D earlier this year.

I have also performed masturbation to see what’s up and besides lack of ejaculation due to fear and anxiety, nothing unusual yet
