Unprotected sex with a friend

First of all thank you for everyone who's helping out!
I had sex before 2days with girlfriend who i met before a month. I asked her about her status and she said she doesn't have sex with strangers but only with the friends she know and stated to me that she been doing this from only past 3 months. The last she had sex was in July second week. I had only about a minute of unprotected sex then i used a condom. Additionally, she stated that was her first time unprotected. Now I'm really worried whether i might catch something bad from this one event. Please is there a need for me to test or should i ignore this event and move on!

Ok, so is there a risk? Yes because you had unprotected sex.

Is it a big risk? No. The time was quite short but also, if you believe her that she doesn't have unprotected sex then she would not have anything to transmit. If you do not get any symptoms over the next week (I doubt you would) I would move on.

It is never a bad idea however for both partners to get tested when starting a new relationship :)

Thank you for answering.  But the very next day i got throat infection with formed tonsil stones and even now im having pain in my throat, followed by cold. What would you say about this? I really trust her, but cannot be 100% sure.
No STI gives you symptoms the next day. None. Nor does it give you tonsil stones.

You probably have  a run of the mil cold or tonsillitis - none of which is related to an STI.

The risk of this event is so small it is really not worth the worry. Move on :)
I agree totally with this. We've had a few people in here talking about tonsillitis recently - remember that covid is still a thing, and that there are a number of viruses (the flu, RSV, adenovirus, enterovirus, among many others) going around the world right now.

Not everything is an STI.
