antibiotic effectiveness question

How effective would a 10-day, 150 mg doxycycline orally twice per day regimen be in  curing incubating syphilis?
Same for a single-dose 1.5 g Azythromicin.
Thanks.

You took a lot of meds you probably didn't need.  In most places, syphilis is very rare.

not sure about exposure. risky encounter; protected but still. took 1.5 g zythromax followed by, 150 gm 2/day 10 days as a precaution. no can do penicillin. no symptoms, no rash that i could say is what is described for the disease.

Well the dose I am familiar with would be 14 days of 100 mg, but the CDC is recommending that another antibiotic be used now.

That doesn't mean it wouldn't work, but I don't think you can totally rely on it.

Have you for sure been exposed to syphilis?
