I'm 25 I've been with 2 people my whole life my child's father and my current boyfriend me and my boyfriend have been together for over a year. I went in and had got a papsmere done I got my results 18 days later i had trick I told my boyfriend and he went to get tested 5 days later mind you we've been having unprotected sex for over a year all the way up till I had got my pap results back when he went to get tested 5 days after me he got his results 3 days later and his was negative. How is that possible? We've been together over a year and he has nothing? Could his results be a false negative? I can't shake this I havent been with anyone else how is this possible?

Yes but having a confirmation test is best. Do you belong to a gym or go to hot tubs or spas?

Should we both be tested again? I have been on antibiotics I took 4 pills on Tuesday they told me wait a week and I should be fine if I go get retested the antibiotics could have already killed the infection right?

Hi,
You can have a false positive for trich as there are diffeent types of trich that are not std related and can live in our bowels and picked up with cervical swabs.
