Question on Risks for STD's via Oral Sex

Hi,

I realise that there is no risk for HIV from Oral Sex.  Especially performed by a man (me) on a woman.  I've also read Nurse Girls detailed post on HIV that I found to be very informative and very useful (thankyou).

In many of the posts I've seen, it says that whilst there is no HIV risk from Oral Sex that we should be more concerned about other diseases which are more easily transmitted via Oral Sex than HIV.  Could someone please tell me what those diseases are ?  I know that many STD's (including HIV) are transmitted via the anal / vaginal intercourse route but less are transmitted via the oral route but I am not sure which ones they are.

Thankyou.

Performing on a women...herpes and syphilis are possible. As you said a lot lower risk and with those 2 very low risk because with herpes you will most likely see bumps and will not want to do it and syphilis is rare and rare in women.

Receiving man-gonorrhea, NGU, herpes and syphilis. Gonorrhea and NGU are the most common but it is still low risk.
