please answer, really worried!

i just want to have a few answers here so i can stop worrying, a couple of weeks ago, two to be exact, i gave my boyfriend a handjob, i wasnt rough with his penis or anything of that sort, but from that day he has had a purple couloured ring around the whole tip of the penis, its rather large and it looks like a bruise (he is circumcised as well). does anyone know what this is? could i have damaged his penis in any way? he keeps ressuring me that its ok and that i didnt do anyhing wrong but im still worried that i could have done something serious to lhim, i can not stress this enough that it was only a handjob, and nothing more, we are also both virgins and have not messed around or anything of that sort, please help!

2terrified gave you some great advice. Do not worry about this. There is no way you gave him an STD. You might have caused some bruising, but this would not cause any permanent damage. Some bruising / soreness of the penis is actually not uncommon after sex or masturbation - sometimes we get a bit carried away :-) The bruising will be gone in a few days. Trust your b/f when he says that he is fine.

You cannot give your boyfriend an std from a simple hand job.  There would need to be some kind of fluid transfer, or contact with an infection.  You may have just gotten a bit too rough at the time and did cause some bruising.  Stop being paranoid about something that can not happen without sexual intercourse.  Oh, and a purple bruise is not a sign of any std.
