I am trying to figure what the cause of this could be.  I started feeling some irritation and discomfort inside my urethra about 5 months ago.  It does'nt hurt when I pee though. A few weeks later I started getting some lower abdominal and pelvic pain along with a feeling of pressure in my rectum.  I have checked regularly for any physical signs and noticed a light reddish brown rash that is on the right upper side of my groin in my pubic hair about a month ago. It is a little bigger than the size of a golf ball and is the only physical sign I have. My stomache and rectal discomfort seems to be getting progressively worse and have developed dull headaches that radiate behind the eyes and on the top side of my head.  Any ideas as to what might be going on?

so you can't get trich from masturbation or clothing or anything like that, correct? I'm reading on the website trich.com saying it's only spread through sexual contact.

most likely vaginal/anal sex. The mouth is too hostile for trich to really take hold.

so if a male was diagnosed with trich, could it be spread if a woman performed oral sex on him, or would it actually have to be anal/vaginal sex?

you will stop having symptoms eventually even if you don't treat either of those infections.

you were seen and all your testing was negative. sounds like your doctor was guessing with the ngu diagnosis since your testing was all normal.

you have multiple posts now on the forum. please pick one of your posts and keep all further questions in it. thank you.

Jessy, when you say they don't really do that you mean the bacteria from CT and GC don't go dormant?

If you are male and are infected with chlamydia and/or gonorrhea the chances are that your going to show symptoms.

The bacteria does not hibernate, the scientific term is "lay dormant" for years; they don't really do that.
