worried!

i had my period like normal. 2 days after i finished i had sex with my boyfriend, and noticed brown blood around 2 hours later. i had no cramps, just a little brown blood so i decided to wear a tampon. the brown blood lasted for about 4 days, then on the 5th day i started bleeding a lot more, like a regular period with red blood. i also had mild cramps. at first i thought the brown blood might be because my boyfriend hit my cervix, but now that im bleeding so much more,i have no idea what it could be! help!

its more than likely a yeast infection, the best way to get rid of it is to see your doctor for antibiotics to help you pee it out or i had to inject vaginal cream to get rid of that issue...and avoid intercourse while taking the pills and of course you cant when you use the cream. its not always a transmitted disease it could just be because you threw off the ph balance in your vag which is very normal! i would go for a pap asap!! ummm if you wait to long you could start getting a horribly bad odour. and i would get your bf to get him self checked to because he could pick it up aswell and might need the antibiotics.

Figured a woman's perspective would help.

Thanks, G,   =)

Not really sure on this.  It is not unusual to have some brown blood for a bit after you are basically done with your period.  However, I don't know what would have caused you to start having the red blood again after that.  I would definitely talk to your doctor about this soon.  Tell him/her exactly what you have posted here as well as other things like what your normal cycles are like, if you have started or stopped any medications lately, if you have changed your diet, or if you have been under a lot of stress lately.  These things can all affect your cycles.

Normally the longest should be 7 days.  but if that's not normal for you, go get checked out.    You are having unprotected sex and began bleeding again.  If you suspect its an STD get tested.

gonorrhea and chalmydia --you can test for them now.

Might be an extended period.

Get tested for gonorrhea and chalmydia --if you can do it today.
