43 and oversexed

43 year old woman and for the last 6 months feel like my mind and body belong to a 16 year old boy.
Happily married for 19 years with one child.  I know it sounds like fun, but it isn't.  I could go for it 2-3 times a day.
Can't focus on job or anything else except wanting sex...Have never had this problem before, always had moderate to low sex drive.  Any other woman ever had this issue and how did you stop it?  Help...it's driving me nuts..

I'm 42 , single with children, find myself masturbating whenever I can, vibrators, nothing eases it, on a site and chat constantly about sex, feel absolutely turned on all day! Not sure if it's normal

I hope that I can help with some info. I am 38 y.o.,  I was in a 23 year marriage.  The sex was almost non-existent.  I met a 43 year old woman who was getting divorced.  She told me that women hit their sexual peak around this age, whereas men hit theirs in their teens and 20's.  So, she too was in a sexless marriage (6 years since her and the husband had sex). She and I started a relationship and the sex is amazing and abundant.  She overwhelms me with her appetite, aggression and imagination.

So, what I am trying to tell you is that this is perfectly normal.  Here is a link that lists the sexual stages of a woman's life:  http://www.womanknows.com/relationships/news/330/

Hope this helped!

I'm 41, and closing out a marriage in large part because my wife is just not interested in sex and never really has been.  There are other problems with the relationship too, of course, but a lot of men out there would be very grateful to help satisfy you.  I agree: wake you husband and use this to deepen your relationship.  A lot of men would kill to be with someone in your shoes.

Also, along the lines of seeing your doc, I agree it couldn't hurt.  You're in the perimenopausal age range, so it's very possible your hormones are changing.

You're not the first having that sexdrive by this age! Don't worry much. Depends on many factors but it happens. I had my coworker 2 years ago she was feeling the same. She is now 42. By this aga I heard many people, women have increased sex desire.
"wake up" your husband often.)

Sorry it's not welcome, I could use a drop or two of whatever you're getting.  But seriously, see your doc.  It sounds a lot like a hormone imbalance.  Good luck!
