experiencing heavy swelling after intercourse

Hi,
My husband and i have been married for over a year now. We tried a new brand of condoms and it led to me having a yeast infection the day after we used it. Once the infection went away, we tried having sex and since then i have been having after affects from burning, major swelling, and extremely sensitive labia. Trying to sort out what the issue is. We recently stopped using condoms all together and wondering if the possibility of having a semen allergy is what this could be? I've been icing after sex to bring down the swelling, but this tends to be happening after each time we have sex now.
Thanks for your help in advance

Hi,
Honestly, there's a variety of things that can cause the symptoms you've described.  If you can rule out an allergic reaction to products like lubricant or harsh soaps, it could be anything from extreme dryness to vaginitis, or even a mild infection. If this continues to cause you discomfort, you should have it checked by a doctor soon.
