I'm not anymore. I didn't like the side effects. every women is different tho so you may have a positive experience with them. It took about 6 months before i started noticing the side effects such as my moodiness so just keep an eye out. other than that, it was wonderful. It cant hurt for you to try it. And if you dont seem to like it, i would recommend going back to the pill and maybe setting an alarm on your phone. I take mine at 10:30 every night when i get home from picking up my boyfriend from work and know that i will most always be home. I also keep them in my purse that way if for some reason im not home when i phone alarm starts going off to take it, i'll always be able to. 2 months and i've only missed 2 pills total. so far its a pretty fool-proof plan :o)
Thanks! The patch definitely sounds like something that would suit me. I could never remember the pill and I don't like the idea of injections/having things inserted inside so the patch sounds like the best option really. Are you still on that form of birth control?
I was on the patch. its really nice because i was like you and forgot to take my pill everyday so the patch once a week was amazing. it didn't feel any different and the good thing with patch vs the pill is that i litterally couldn't feel my body changing at all. i think because it was going right through my skin into my body not into my stomach. the only problems i did have with it was that it made me more moody than im used to. even now that i've been off it for a month i can already see a change in my mood. I was always on edge while i was using it. but u need to remember also that every woman is different. what has happened with me might not happen with you. As with your friend also. Dont be freaked out by trying birth controls just because you hear that a friend had a bad experience. I can see you getting freaked out if she had a bad experience at a restaurant and you never want to go there. But birth control effects every woman differently. The only way for you to be completely sure of what is good for you is to try it. It couldn't hurt to pop into a planned parenthood and get an exam done so you can try the patches. Just make sure after you put them on, take a wet wash cloth and rub the edges a little to get the sticky off, otherwise you'll have awesome clothes lint stuck to you. good luck!
