Condom broke during penetrative anal

Hi Guys,

A couple of weeks ago I have protected anal sex with a transvestite sex worker.  Midway through, the condom broke!  The tip of my penis was unprotected for a couple of minutes, I am uncircumcised and my foreskin was pulled back and was covered by the part of the condom that did not break, hopefully minimizing that type of risk.  I read that for penetrative anal the CDC gives it a 1 in 1500 change of infection, hopefully less given that it was such a short time unprotected.

I am trying not to freak out.  I know that the anxiety I have can manifest itself with symptoms mimicking the thing that I am now fearing so I'm trying not to read too much into them.  Yesterday I had a itchy feeling in my throat and inner ear, as if I was about to come down with something, this is the point where I started researching possible symptoms.  I began to feel odd, I had just drank a soup and was beginning to retch with a throw up kinda feeling (possibly anxiety?).  I had also began to have itchy feeling under my jar and upper thighs, like little dots.  Possibly lymph nodes, but I have read that the lymph nodes of HIV are swollen but not itchy or painful, so thank god for that.  I also have clammy hands which is another HIV symptom (but possibly anxiety as well).  

Today I woke up with a feeling of malaise. I have not eaten anything as I feel that if I do i will immediately throw it up (hoping its the anxiety).  Do not worry about my not-eating though, I normally fast in the mornings. A few hours ago I went and took the p24 HIV test and all the other STDs as well, will get my results on Tuesday.  Not sure why I'm writing this being that there is nothing I can do to change the reality in which I now find myself in.  Though In previous scares of this nature I have not had these some of these anxiety symptoms, I have never felt malaise for example or vomiting feelings.  

I know that HIV infection cannot be diagnosed through symptoms as they mimic many other infections.  So I guess I am looking for input on past experiences you guys may have had with similar symptoms.  Could it be I caught something else?  Are the odds on the CDC the same as the odds of picking a random number from 1 to 1500 and guessing correctly? I have three days of pure hell ahead of me.  Wish me luck.

I'm so glad to hear your temperature is back to normal. Anxiety can have some pretty strange symptoms and I do think you were extremely anxious.
Try your best to stay calm, I know, easier said than done. Your test results will be back soon.

Thank you.  My temperature has gone down to 37.1 (normal range) and the vomiting feeling has gone away.  Indeed I will be taking your advice and never having sex with a worker again.  It's not worth it.

I think you are indeed having anxiety. It can literally make you sick.
You've been tested and will get your results very soon so try to hang in there.
I'm sorry you had a condom failure. This can happen sometimes and I know you must be scared. I highly recommend that you think of your health and not have sex with anyone unless you know their sexual history and they've been tested. Many prostitutes do have STD's. You see that even trying your best to be safe condom failures can happen. We have a great HIV forum here at Medhelp. I think you should also post your question there. Took my temperature its currently at 37.8 C.  Am I coming down with a fever?

I just drank a protein shake and have started dry heaving.  Maybe 15 times in a row.  Feels like there is air in my stomach that needs to get out.  Its very weird.
