How getting pregnant really works

I read in an article on how a women gets pregnant. On the ovulation part it says that the egg is ripe for fertilization for about 24 hrs. What do they mean by that?An sperm is available is to fertilize an egg for 2 - 3 days after ejaculation...that means that after a man ejaculates in u u have 2-3 days to become pregnant?Im thinking about having an baby so im trying to learn a little bit more than what i already no now. Thanks

OK... it seems to me that you are trying to figure out who was more likely to have gotten you pregnant so let me run this by you. I was young and married and trying to conceive. After 6 months of trying, I went to an OB/GYN and he filled me in on the details. Sperm can survive up to 3 days inside a woman's body. Once an egg is released, it has 24 hours to be fertilized or it shuts down and begins to deteriorate. Either man could have gotten you pregnant because you don't know when you ovulated. If it was before the first lover, then lover #1 has the best chance of being daddy. If it was between the two sexual "adventures" then the first lover probably had sperm waiting in line when the egg was released. If it was 2 or even 3 days later, then lover #2 has the better chance of being the daddy because the first sperm have probably died out by then.

This info helped me to conceive once the doctor taught me how to pinpoint when I released an egg (ovulated). It even helped me to increase my chances of having a daughter after 2 sons! (It has everythibg to do with the differences in x sperm and y sperm and timing of sex.) This has worked over and over again with my friends who were trying to get a boy after several girls as well as for those trying to get a girl after several boys.

yes, what is this all about? I thought your other post was complicated enough without adding this one on top of it.
You are either pregnant or you are not.

o.k. you have a post right above this one saying your already pregnant and want to know who the father is. now in this post your saying that your thinking of having a baby. this does'nt make any sense. if your pregnant and don't even know who the father is i feel sorry for that poor little baby. i think it might be a good idea to get some counseling.
