A related discussion,
Sleep Apnea and SpO2 levels was started.
The doctors were going to put me thru the sleep study but when the symptoms went away he did not feel there was a need.
I did not have other health issues when I was having the sleep apnea.
I did not change anything, only used the anti-fungals for a fungal dermatitis when I noted that the sleep apnea had disappeared and has never reappeared. It has been over a year.
I developed the sleep apnea after contracting an undiagnosed inflammation in my right ear while scuba diving in Bonaire 1/2003. I also had a severe rahs on my chest. These issues seemed to subside. After this I noted I was unable to wear any of my pierced earrings. I had worn earrings for 20 years and never had any problems. Each time I put in an earring my ear would turn red and hurt. After the anti-fungal I was able to put earrings in for a short time. Interesting?
Someday conventional medicine will realize how many conditions have a fungal etiology. I have been studying this issue for 10 years and have an associations with physicians who share this same belief. Basically, as one doctor states, if they did not learn it in school it can not be, and mycotoxins education is very important.
mngoldie,
Did you undergo a formal sleep study? Were you officially diagnosed, or are you guessing based on your sleep patterns?
Whether or not you improve subjectively, it's been shown that people with sleep apnea and their bed-partners make very poor judges of whether or not someone has obstructive sleep apnea. Only a sleep study can show this.
Having said this, if you're feeling fine with no other medical problems such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, depression, anxiety, weight issues, heart disease or fatigue, then you can just watch carefully for now. Otherwise, you should get a formal study.
I had requested a prescription of Nystatin 1 million units and Diflucan 200mg for some skin fungus. I only took the meds for 1 month. After the month on the anti-fungals my husband noticed I no longer had my nightly episodes of sleep apnea. It's been 14 months with no re-occurance.
Hope this is helpful.
Recently I have been dignosed for Sleep Apnea.
I would appreciate if you can provide me with datails of treatment (Nystatin and Diflucan).
Regards.
