How does a stroke affect the life of the victim?

Hi all
I am currently studying towards becoming a physiotherapist. As part of my assessment I have been asked to complete a research protect on people that have had a stroke. I am hoping that putting a post on this forum will allow me to gatherer some research on this subject. If you are willing to help me with a small questionnaire I would be very grateful. All information will be privet and confidential and no person information will be used.
Thanks for reading and hope you can help me out
Yours Ste

First, the term is not victim, we are survivors. If you want to understand you have to realize that there is NO decent information on stroke rehab  except for what you research yourself. Ask any stroke doctor and see if you get anything other than ' I know nothing' or the vacuous comment 'Every stroke is different, every stroke recovery is different'.  Ask your instructor how survivors are supposed to get better if all their doctors are doing is waiting for the spontaneous recovery of 6-12 months. Any questionaire is worthless because no one gets a diagnosis so survivors can't compare therapies. If you want to get educated read Barrett Dorkos' forums on SomaSimple.
