Does anyone have experience with m/c due to immunological causes? And if so, were you successfully treated for it and then able to have a successful pregnancy? I have lupus w/elevated anti-nuclear antibodies (ANA) and slightly elevated antiphospholipid antibodies (APA) and I also have autoimmune thyroiditis w/elevated thyroid peroxidase antibodies (TPO). My symptoms until now had not warranted much in the way of treatment, but with my recurrent early m/c's (7!), I feel that it's time to take action to treat this stuff. From what I've read, it looks like I could be really helped by: prednisone, aspirin/heparin, thyroid medication (synthroid), selenium supplementation and possibly intravenous gamma globulin. I have an appt on 4/13 w/my RE and my endocrinologist, so I'm hopeful that we can make a plan. I want to try again as soon as possible, but not until I can be sure that some of these potential immune causes can be treated. SSBD!
