Why am I so nervous...

Although we have not really been preventing pregnancy for a few months, this is the first month we have gotten a bit more serious about "trying".  Today that OPK said positive and EWCM has been there for a few days now.  This is it, and all of a sudden I am a nervous wreck. I doubt I will conceive the first real try at it, but you never know, and I cannot figure out why I am so scared.  We both want a second child badly...what the heck is going on with me? I guess this is more a comment on my feelings then a question, but ladies, I am quite scared here.

Thanks for the comforting words ladies.  I know this is pretty normal, I just thought I would feel more excited then scared?  However, I am now officially in the 2WW and hoping, so it must be more happy nerves then bad.  I truly do want this.  I just want to try to avoid getting as obsessive about it as I did last time around and enjoy the process. Why can't this just be easy...

I completely understand. I think it's partly that you know more about all the things that can go wrong and how precious and miraculous a healthy baby is. You know that your heart could be put through the wringer (the tww, the bfp, the worry about miscarriage, the worry worry about your own health, the birth, the early days, and that's if everything goes ok).
I wish you all the luck in the world and hope you achieve this pregnancy easily and that the happy hormones settle in quickly and take away some of the nervousness.
It is a huge thing to bring another life into the world so you are a wise, considered person to be a bit nervous.

Scared if you do, scared if you don't.  Yeah, there are alot of emotions running through a person's head when they're in this process.  Not always logical but there's so much involved either way.  Pretty understandable and I'm sure, quite common among us in this group.  Sending you calm, happy vibes... ((hugs))
