Why Do I feel so bad?

Hi Ladies.  I am just wondering why I feel so bad?  I am not currently taking an fertility meds....and the ovidrel shot was over three weeks ago...and the clomid was a month ago.....so why do I feel so icky?  My whole body is aching...and I am EXTREMELY tired.  I never have any energy.  I get dizzy....and I ache all over my body.  It is the worst feeling.  Is it possible that my hormones are a little screw up?

I had my first IUI on August 30 which failed.  I am going to go through the whole thing again next month (clomid...etc.)....and I am wondering if the meds did this to me?  PLUS I am SOOOOO forgetful.  I hate feeling like this.  I just want to lie down all the time.

Did anyone gain weight from meds?  I feel puffy and bloated.  My feet are swollen.  I have not been able to wear regular shoes...just flip flops.  Sigh.

Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks.

Pum, Risa and Futuremama....thank you so much for your replies.  I suppose a lot of it could be hormonal as well as emotional related.  I will be starting up this whole cycle again next month (took this month off) so we will see.  It's not easy...I know you all understand.  I am hoping that I don't have some sort of blockage in my tubes....i was not able to take the test they give you for that because they use iodine and I am very badly allergic to iodine so I could not take it.  My RE told me that the only alternative would be to surgically open me up to see if there is a blockage.  I hope that this does not turn out to be my problem.  I have gotten my thyroid check dozens of times....and it's always come back normal.  I have no idea.  I just know I am totally drained, very achy, and extremely forgetful.  Sometimes I get very scared that something is VERY SERIOUSLY wrong with me that has not been diagnosed yet.  Sometimes its an effort to move at all.  Imagine?  What is that!!!???!!!

Anyway Ladies....I wish you all the luck in the world and hope that things fall into place for you all.....BFP for all of us....and a happy, healty pregnancy in our futures.  All we can do is hope and pray and be here for each other.

HUGS TO ALL OF YOU!

The hormones do stay in our body for a while and that was why the nurses always recommend me to exercise and sweat it all out.  Another good way is to go for a lymphatic drainage massage and an acupuncture.  The massage will drain all the toxins out of your body and the acupuncture will balance your hormone levels.

In addition, it's also emotional stress.  The sadness I felt when I had a chemical pregnancy was haunting me for almost a month and it did make me feel more tired and less energised to do anything.

As for the bloatedness, I recommend lots and lots of water!  When I did my last IVF, I drank loads and realised it did help with the bloatedness quite a bit.

Still working on losing the 5 kgs I gained ...argh!

Hope you feel better soon hon....

I am going through the same thing!  I stopped progesterone a week ago, so I can't say the fatigue it due to that. (  I an IUI August 31 that didn't work) I am going to call my RE dr tomorrow and see if my Thyroid meds need to be adjusted.  I just started taking them in August.

I always gain weight with fertility meds.  I took 13 cycles over 1.5 years and packed on 15 pounds that don't want to leave!  I am bloated right now too, so it could be the progesterone still, but not sure.

Have you ever had your thyroid checked? TSH should be under 2 to help conceive.

Hormones can certainly make you feel blah and I think the swelling is a common complaint. I've not done IUI so I don't know for sure. You could just be coming down with a boring old cold.

Take care and good thoughts for your next round.
