Hi All!

First ultrasound today, I was/am very nervous because I have been spotting red for about 2 weeks. I was soooooo sure something bad had happened. Anyway the baby measured correctly at 7 weeks and I saw the heartbeat. The tech didnt say how fast the heartbeat was but said everything looked fine. I'm happy of course but still concerned especially since I still dont have any symptoms. Advice or thoughts anyone?

Savanha,

I am new to this forum, well, actually any forum.

I am 40, and TTC.  (Reading all the posts, I am SO confused by all the acronyms.  Is there a guide somewhere?)  My husband and I were married last October 2009.  He has never had children, and my only child just turned 18 and is out of the home.

We are worried, 1) my age, of course, and 2) I am not very fertile; it took me almost 1 1/2 yrs to have my daughter.  My OB/GYN said to monitor my basal temp and determine my ov time, and have sex as often as possible.  I am on pre-natal vitamins, eat fairly healthy, and as I am in the Army, excercise on a regular basis.  My last physical showed I was in excellent health.  We started trying 3 months ago, and have a follow-up w/ the OB/GYN the end of this month.  We just ordered a fertility monitor.

Time is of the essence, as my husband is getting deployed this summer.  We really want to be prego before he goes.

So, just wanted to be able to have support and advice on this journey.

Funny, I ovulated late this month, too....normal time, actually, but late for me. I usually O around day 11...this time it was day 15. Isn't ovulating late not a good thing? If I remember right, a short luteal phase isn't a good thing, right? Anyway...my OPK was positive on Friday and Saturday...we BD'd on Saturday so hopefully it worked. I don't think I'm lucky enough to get pg on the first try after my tubal reversal surgery but I'm hoping!

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa, I turned 40 this past Nov. I actually have 4 children ages 17 and 15 from my 1st marriage and dh and I have 2 girls ages 6 (7 in April) and 2.5. My husband is the one who brought up how much he wants another child and then he got me into the baby fever! LOL!  When we were trying for our now 2 yr old I 1st became pregnant and discovered it was a blighted ovum at around 9 weeks. Had a D&C and became pregnant within a cpl of weeks after that. DH and I tried half heartedly last month then this month I began my BBT and Clomid on days 2-6.  It is now CD 15 and still no temp change and all OPK are neg. I am normally a 28-29 day cycle. Whats up with the late O????
