Honestly, while I'm not an expert, I would say I was a pretty good responder. No trigger/unmonitored--nothing happened. Second time with trigger/monitoring--bam--baby. So to me, 2nd try with a trigger seems pretty good.
I get that I'm older but still, 40 isn't THAT much older. I think I'm just worried about hearing "wow, you're old and eggs suck". Maybe they are basing things on me starting my cycle at age 9? Although the last RE and my OB said onset age of cycle has nothing to do with fertility. But to me, from 9-40 is a very, very long time to have these babies work. :)
Huh. I think that might be a tad too negative. I guess it is harder every year that goes by and maybe your doctor is basing it on how responsive you were to clomid 3 years ago...? if you weren't a good responder maybe that is influencing the pessimism?
That said, I think your RE will (or should!) respect your decision should you want to go with the same protocol. You can always change it, right?
