Family issues

My dad thinks that I don't like him, and I feel like he's given up all hope on me. All my life he has treated my brother better than me. Just tonight I heard him talking to my mom and basically telling her that I'm her son and I'll always new her son and her son only.

Hi!
I've suffered that problem once.
Family relationship is all about respect and loyalty,
If your dad thinks you don't like him, show him that you do.
Smile at him when you happen to look at him into the eyes.
If he does not respond with a smile, then its him who needs to change.
What are your dad's interest and hobby?
Try to pull those things up between you and your dad.
Share some good times with your dad, tell him some jokes
Don't sulk or frown when your dad says something, for now
Pretend at least you respect him as your dad
Talk to your mom about this if you can
Or maybe your big brother?
They're your family, they have to know about helping each other
If your dad has a problem that isn't too big (ones that you can help with)
Go help him!
Do him a favor, or more
Build up bonds between your dad

I hope this helps!
I so spoke through many people about these issues
I let all of them listen to a family song
"Raise this barn" (btw its my little pony, but the lyrics are good)
:)

Sorry, I accidentally hit enter and sent it too soon. But, adding on, I just feel like I need to prove myself to him. I feel like Hes ashamed of me as a son because I'm not what he envisioned me to be. I just want to gain a good relationship with my dad. We have tried and tried, but everything has failed. I always feel anxiety around him like he doesn't want me to be around him. If anyone could give me any tips, I would greatly appreciate it.
