Lost Sprit

Lately I have been telling all of my friends that I am happy when I am not. I have been cutting again and I dont want to tell my family because I know that I will disappoint them even more than I already have. They just dont understand how I am feeling because they dont really take the time to understand. They either think that its not important or make it all about them. But maybe that is just what I see and how I feel. Sometimes I feel worthless not just to them but to a lot of people. If feel all alone sometimes what are supposed to do? I just want to die to see who would really miss me, not many people would, but just one person would make all the difference for me.What should I do?

Sounds like your hormones talking.  Hormones can have you up and down and last until age 20.  You only have a couple of years left, so hang in there.  It is amazing how much better you will feel once the hormones settle down.  I was so relieved when I turned 20 and so was my cousin.  Stop the cutting now!  You don't want to have tons of scars.  Try to figure out a way to relieve stress that does not hurt yourself.  Exercising can make a person feel better.  Can you get a membership to a gym?

Sweetie....cutting is not the answer and it is self destructive behavior, not to say "ouch". You are also scaring you beautiful body!  If your not happy, tell a trusted friend that you have been feeling down and lonely. You are in a transitional age, where you are not an adult, yet not a child either and that's very hard.  Your trying to find your way.  Talk with mom...when there is no one in this world there is always mom, who loves you unconditionally and would give her very life to make sure your ok.  Approach her and tell her that you have been feeling depress and down. Mom's are full of advise and will do everything to just help you, so you won't disappoint anyone. They are there to help you if you give them a chance.  You are an important person and you opion is important and valued.  You might be able to help someone else who is going through what you are. Also, suicide is never the answer. When someone attempts suicide is because they do not have the coping skills to a problem that in reality is only temporary.  This too shall pass with time and you don't want to leave your family with a life time of sorrow over a death in the family.  I know, my mom died in my arms July 19, 2007 and I would give my very life to have with me again, so please think, before you do something that will have eternal consequences....your going to be ok....if you want to just talk, we are here for you....hang in there and pleaseeee....no more cutting, your only hurting yourself.
