Pregnant?

I had unprotected sex  on the 11th june, and I want to do a hpt to see if I am pregnant, I wasn't on the pill. How many days do I have to wait to take one? I'm not sure when my last period was, but it's either due in 5 days or 12 days.
I went to the doctors the morning after and he said to get a blood test and urine test done. But he said I could get it done 2 days after, are the results going to be different, even though the levels of HCG are present after 48hrs?
Can I take a hpt now even though it's only 3 days after, or will it be a waste of a test?

bleeding could mean anything. some women do bleed in early pregnancy. the best thing to do is to either take an hpt after 2 weeks or go to your ob/gyn for a blood test.

I was bleeding after aswell, a fair bit the day after and then just a bit of spotting, but it wasn't my period...could this mean I am not pregnant, or something else is wrong?

Bloodtest take up to 2 weeks in order to get a accurate results. HPT  take longer. So you doctor really wouldn't be doing you any good to do a blood test and urine test only 48 hours after having unprotected  sex.

you have to wait at least 2 weeks from the last sexual encounter to get an accurate result. 3 days after...you'll be wasting your money. the fertilized egg wouldn't even out of your fallopian tubes yet. if you are pregnant, it takes at least 2 weeks for the egg to travel to the uterus and implant itself. that is when your body begins producing more hcg and you can get a + pregnancy test. blood test can detect a few days sooner at 10 days after sex.
