And sperm lives for (and is viable to fertilize an egg) up to 5 days. Which still very much puts you in the running to be the father...
An ultrasound done at up to 8 week is correct give or take 5 days usually. So she could be 5 days less or 5 days more than what the ultrasound stated.
Ultrasounds are usually really accurate especially ealry in pregnancy because all babies develop at the same rate really early on.
According to her baby calendar on her website it says that she is 24 weeks and 3 days pregnant and that she has only 109 more days until she gives birth. Which would make it on November 9th. How accurate are doctors when making their prediction? I did that whole baby calculator thing also. She has weird periods though. Where it is toward the end of the month sometimes its almost as if she has two periods a month. She stated that herself.
I just used a due date calculator for you.
If her last period was the 25th Jan, then she is due on - 31st October.
Making her exactly 25 weeks and 5 days pregnant today.
This means the child was conceived on the 8th Feb.
Check it yourself if you like.

You just choose the first day of the last menstrual period, which in her case was 25th Jan.
If she had her period on the 25th Jan, and you had sex on the 8th Feb, then that is EXACTLY 14 days later. (the day of ovulation)
I'd say that there is a high probability that you are indeed the father...
what happens in KY stays in KY lol....just kidding
i'd say attempt for a paternity test.....just cos she's getting married, doesnt mean she won't want child support.....and then, they could award her back cs.....believe me, if you can afford it, it'd be best to get one when baby comes, as well as start setting aside money for it.....just in case, i'd "help" in small basics with the baby(diapers, wipes, small clothing), b/c if somehow it is yours, you don't want her saying you never did anything.....i don't mean to broach onto the "legal" side of things, but DF is going through cs/cc with his ex wife, and they want his bank stuff going back to when he was married to her! better safe than sorry, and if it's not your baby, well, you helped a "friend", or showed your "congrats" on the new baby.....
I think its pretty unlikely that she got pregnant by you if the only time you had sex without protection was Feb. 8th because according to the information you gave me above she would have ovulated around the 17th.. BUT she could have ovulated at a different time depending on whether she has a normal period or not. If I was in your situation I would just recommend she get a paternity test with the man she thinks is the father.. Just to ease both your minds.. But if she is convinced he is than I wouldn't bother.. You seem happy in your new relationship and same with her.. Its not your fault about the confusion.. I just see so many women on the forum asking these type of questions that I generalized you into that category so I am the one who is sorry.. Sorry for your tough situation too.. Im sure it will all work out in the end.. Good luck :D
I am sorry you are in the predicament you are in. I COMPLETELY understand as my husband was in a similar situation...(he got her pregnant 4 months before we got together). There is absolutely NO way to tell you if YOU got her pregnant or if this other guy did. I would definitely encourage you to get a paternity test. I know that means more child support (I see you have another child) but...in all honesty...it is definitely worth it.
Sperm can live for 5-7 days in the uterus. I asked my gynecologist about this some time back because their presumed date of my daughters conception was 4 days later than the last time we had sex.
Also...the sooner the better on the paternity test. My step daughters mom REFUSED to do one consensually for 14 months and as a result my husband got stuck with 5500 of back child support after we had a court ordered test done.
I hope it all works out for you! If you want to private message me I would be happy to help you further...I know how hard of a situation this is...and I am really impressed that you are trying to take the initiative to find out whats going on!!!
well heres the thing. I am the guy. Well it has been a really confusing situation. I was hanging out with this girl for about 3-4 weeks and we had sex several times but i always used a condom except for one time which was on february 8th. She had her period on January 25 her normal time. Then in february she didnt get her period and she had all the symptoms of being pregnant so she went to the doctor and she was. Well throughout the time i was hanging out with her she was actually seeing another guy (i was wondering why some of my friends were calling me number two). But anyway i wasnt around her that long and only every other weekend because i would have my little girl. She finally admitted that she was with him also. So yesterday marked her being pregnant for 23 weeks and two days, in which the time she got pregnant i had my little girl and she wasnt around. I know it was something stupid to do but thats why every other time i used a condom. Well she told me that it was his kid and she is getting married to him next month. I think it is his but i dont like surprises cause i'm actually seeing someone that i would like to be with. (by the way every time i used a condom and made sure it was full before i threw it away). I was just wondering what anybody thought about that. sorry about all the confusion.
I was reading this post and thought I would clear up the 40 weeks pregnant confusion. They count 40 weeks starting from the first day of your last period. As most women ovulate about 2 weeks after the first day of last period, but not everyone, thats just a way for the Dr.s to count. You are really only actually "pregnant" for 38 weeks. So assuming the person in question always has a 28 day cycle, and always ovulates around day 14 (which is not always the case for everyone), then someone the Dr. is saying is 23 weeks pregnant would have actually conceived around 21 weeks ago. If there is truly confusion over who the father is (I am assuming thats the reason for this post), the only way to know for absolute certain is DNA testing. Good luck.
true but sometimes people sign up and dont relize i comes up usually as a guy
Okay.. Well I just realized this is a guy.. lol sorry.. thought you were a woman hence all the terming my answers to "you" being pregnant.
Lol kim I was wondering the same thing.. What the point of this post is..
it sounds like your not sure whos your babies father to me. but sperm can stay alive for awhile so if you had sex with men around the same time....you really might not be sure
It depends on when you ovulate.. most women ovulate 13-15 days after their period so in your case egg would have been fertilized between february 17th and 20th.. or you would have gotten pregnant on the 17th like i said above. Do you know the days that the person or yourself had unprotected sex? that would probably help out better.. but experts from what I have read KNOW that sperm can live at least 48 hours inside of the vagina before fertilizing an egg.. So You could have had sex on Feb 15th and gotten pregnant on the 17th or you could have had sex Feb 16th or 17th and also conceived on the 17th.
how long does it take for egg to be fertilized after having unprotected sex?
Ok i just counted back my weeks to make sure I gave the right info and that 23 weeks is actually only 21 weeks.. so you would have gotten pregnant on the 17th not the 5th.. Because you would have had your period on the 5th.. That would be the first day of the last period.. and then you ovulate usually 2 weeks later.
The day of conception would be February 5th if you count back 23 weeks from today. Yes you are pregnant for 40 weeks not actually 9 months.. its confusing.. I still dont really get it but I know that if you count out 40 weeks it is actually 10 months..
