When I was pregnant with my first, I was 18 and I was terrified to tell my dad. when I got home, I immediately started bawling my eyes out, but surprisingly he wasn't angry at all. He was very supportive and he even started to get excited for a grandchild ! I'm now 21 and pregnant with my second, and he's beyond thrilled

I didn't even have to tell my mom I was only 6 or 7 weeks when she asked me. She knew something was up, but I wasn't acting any differently. I say a mothers intuition.  She asked me and I told her the truth. I'm actually 19 right now, but she wasn't mad or anything which I was expecting and trying to hold off until Christmas to tell her so I would not ruin her holiday. I was so wrong at first I got every emotion, but it didn't take a day for her to be fully supportive. But I also pay all my bills, have a job, and I am in school full time. I had my own apartment,  but she asked me to move home so she could help! My advice is to just tell her. On Valentine's I don't know if Ghats would ruin her day! Just be honest and have a plan in mind.

I had just graduated May 30th from high school. I was enrolled in college and just got a job. I was still living with my parents as well.  I went to the ER and got a test done and they gave me my results on paper. I called my boyfriend and told him and had him come meet me. We then drove by the river where I called my mom and told her to come down by herself not with my stepdad. She did and I got out of the car and said "mom I didn't go to kenadies after school, I went to the ER." She kinda looked at me funny and I said "I'm pregnant." She started crying and said "prove it prove it." I showed her the paper and she then said "you know what's going to happen next right?" I knew, I was immediately kicked out of my house by my stepdad and moved in with my boyfriend. My mom was upset but was and still is by my side every step of the way.. My stepdad also finally came around as well.

You're 19 I would hardly consider you a teenager but, a young adult. I was 19 when I had my first and had my own place with my man and we both had steady jobs. I moved our right when I turned 18. I just went and told them at home, nothing special just hey,I'm pregnant. My mom already assumed and my step dad just looked Suprised but, they were happy. You're an adult now,no need to worry about your parents or what they'll think of you. I don't know why people at any age are afraid to tell their parents, what are they going to do? Take your birthday away;D

I know so many emotions going on, I've so been there with my first pregnancy and hopefully he has a good relationship with your parents. I would just gently let them know, from my parents reaction, there was alot of crying and disappointment at that time. I told them at home, if I could go back I would probably do at a public setting like a park or something lol,  that's the hardest part is letting the parents know especially at a young age.  Just express your goals u still hv with now a baby by your side.  But once the baby arrives everything changed for me they adore my baby and regret the things they told me.
