not a teen but just as scarred

im very irregular with my period and my boyfriend and i arent very sexually active but when we are which is twce every three months or so we use protection. to giev you an example on how irregular i am i skipped my period the month of april but got it may 17th since i'm so irregular i was hoping i'd still get it around the 17th of this month (june) but its the 29th and still hasnt come. i had sex once this month but a condom was used and we were very careful. heres where it gets weird. im my work environment i work with three other girls who all got theirs on the 5th. well the 6th i started spotting. not heavily but lightly for about two days. about a week later i started spotting again only heavier but not as heavy as my usual cycle and its last four days but it was brownish, kinda like old. i havent started my actual flow and im worried. ive taken three test and all three were negavtive with no sign or chance of positive or misreading. im so nervous. i should also add my work environment has been VERY streeful this past month. any suggestions to ease my mind. thank you.

not likely your pregnant. youve used condoms and they havent broken and your hardely having sex.  your not getting a postive hpt, are stressed out and are going by your period based on others periods

As long as you used protection in the correct way, and it didn't rip or tear, I wouldn't be too worried. Since your period is irregular anyway, it's probably irregular bleeding which a lot of women get when their period isn't regular. Stress can also cause a delay in period, and irregular bleeding. You can test 3 weeks after unprotected sex with a first response early response test (use first morning urine) or 4 weeks after unprotected sex with a regular HPT. As long as you've waited that long, you should get a positive if you were pregnant. Also, you can ask your gynecologist to put you on the pill form of birth control, this way you have added protection, and it can regulate your irregular periods. Good luck!
