Strange symtpoms- TMJ?

hc1
I have severe TMJ- the worst my chiropractor has seen.  I was wondering if anyone else has had face tingling/numbness, dizziness, head pressure, headaches from TMJ?

Thanks!

Wow, thanks for sharing.  I have just had chiropractic care up until this point. I'm having a hard time proving my symptoms are TMJ or MS or migraines or other.   It's frustrating.  I hope you get some relief soon!

I started out with just heat and an ibuprofen gel applied regularly. That did not really do much to be honest. Now I am taking nortriptylene at night, only been taking it for about 3-4 weeks so far and it can take a while to get into your system apparently. I can't say whether it is actually working yet. I also take gabapentin and and an antidepressant as I have other health issues as well as TMJ. And I have paracetamol, codeine and oramorph for the pain. I am due to have an MRI soon to have a look at the joints (I have pain on both sides). I think the next stage would be to flush out the joints. Have you had any treatment yet?

I get the headaches, pressure and dizziness. I tend to get muscle spasms rather than tingling or numbness. I am only just starting treatment but hope to have a bit of relief from it soon!
