I totally agree. I don't know much about it. I am also pregnant and my levels are still to low. Your TSH is to high but with meds it can be managed. Abort does not have to be an option. Make sure your doctor is treating you properly. I am seeing an endo/ obgyn for high risk because I'm older and hypothyroid. Find a good doc to care for you and baby and you both should be fine.
I noticed no one wants to answer this one.
I don't know what the ranges are for your labs. If I use other peoples reported ranges, it doesn't look like you are that hypothyroid.
free T4 .6 assume range is 0.7-1.8 low
free T3 2.7 assume range is 2.50 - 3.90 low normal
TSH 58.6 on any scale it is high
I don't think that TSH being high will do anything bad to your baby. It doesn't cross the placenta so your baby isn't effected by it.
Ask your doctor. But I think your baby is just fine and you are now being treated.
Note: A long time ago before mothers were treated for thyroid problems, there were developmental problems because of it. But now mothers are usually treated and their baby's are just fine.
So I do not think you have to abort.
