OT: Oh My...I'm late!

Holy ****!  A couple weeks ago my neighbor thought she was preggo and said if she was she'd have an abortion.  I promptly went home and prayed that God would not make her pregnant that I'd take it instead of her (despite being advised against future pregnancies, thyca, RAI, school, scholarship, etc...).  I figured I was pretty safe considering DH had a vasectomy a few months ago (1st sample on Thursday was clean).  I'm late!!!!!!!  What?!?!?!?  I can't be late?!?!?!  I'M NEVER LATE!!!  Now is not the time for me to have another pregnancy!  I have to stay in school full time in order to keep my scholarship, which means that another completely bedridden pregnancy is out of the question!  

Holy ****!  I don't want another m/c (like I had 2 months ago) but please pray that there's nothing more to it other than I'm just late.

I'm totally freak'n out right now!!!!  I also called my husband to tell him to buy a test and he flipped out saying that he's had a feeling in the past week or so that I was pregnant!  He's been right everytime!!!!  Holy ****!

Still negative this morning!

This is a good thing!  We do want more children, but we want to adopt them, so as to mot take the chance of abruption and a non-viable delivery.

Whew so far at least........................these test are very sensitive compared to 16yrs ago when I purchased my first one!  Now don't they detect up to 5 days before you even get your period!  So pretty safe bet it is negative and you are all messed up from stress and everything else.....I know I freaked out the very first time I was 3 days late .. I was NEVER a day late in my entire life so when I saw my OB/GYN at the same time for routine well care he ran bloodwork bcz I was about 10 days late by that time and it revealed nothing more than "just late" ... was not prego, no early M/C nothing .. just gracefully aging in my case LOL!  But I bought probably 6 tests as I was so freakin' scared!


Since I'm on Synthroid I have not had PMS with anxiety the way I have had it for the past 3 yrs.  It is gone.  So are the tranquilizers I used to have to take for PMS 2 days before it came!!!!!!   I wonder if my thyroid was all over the place causing me hyper ?????  hmmmmmmmm but I am certain that is so ... why would this suddenly just disappear like this?   It was so bad we had tried Zoloft for the depression but I kept telling my OB/GYN it wasn' clinical depression it was period related and lifted as soon as the first day came and it felt more hormonal ... I bet it was HYPO related and then HYPER .. I bet it went up and down and all over the place bcz the Zoloft did nothing and the Ativan (tranquilizer) took the edge off and I functioned like normal for those 3 days.

I would tend to believe with everything that you've been going through that it knocked your cycles out of whack.  It happens to most women at some time or another when they are going through stress.  You've had a lot to deal with lately.  Especially being away from your kids for your isolation period--no pun intended.  I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you.  The human body can only take so much stress before something gives and that is usually it.  Take a deep breath and relax until you know there is really something to worry about.

And hey, if your neighbor is pregnant, convince her to carry it and I'll adopt it. ;)
I had only one and couldn't have any more.  Some women just don't realize how lucky they are, do they?

I just had a TT and RAI and right on time I got my period- maybe your prayers were answered..........

My hubby had a vasectomy done after our 3rd child.  The thing is if you had unprotected S_x prior to him testing clear then you could end up preggo.  And technically it takes two clear samples to be confirmed safe for unprotected S_x.
Hope it all turns out okay for you.

Interesting thing is when my endo suggested doing a uptake scan on me a few months ago she strongly suggested having a pg test done even though my hubby had a vas 3 yrs ago!   I guess the drs don't want the liability and nothing is 100% except abstinance.

Just as an FYI, I had a dosage increase on my synthroid about 3 months after my total thyroidectomy (Graves disease, no RAI).  About a month after that, my menstrual cycle went missing for about 3 months, then picked right back up on its usual schedule and has stayed that way.  I asked my ob-gyn about it and she said it is not uncommon for a change in synthroid dosage to wreak havoc on the menstrual cycle.  

I seem to have read about others who have also had the same issue.  Maybe that is the cause for your lateness?  For your sake, I hope so.

OH MY GOSH!!!!!  I think I would be freaking out too...I had my 1st 2 kids at 21 and 23 and my last one at 37 after the doc told me it would never happen...Turned out to be the perfect pregnancy...after two not so perfect ones...

Try to remember God will not put on us more than we can handle and I will be thinking about you.

Only 1 day....but I'm NEVER late!  Hopefully it's the RAI and all that throwing it off.  Anyone else had that happen?  It didn't happen the first round of RAI, but who know's right.  Oh man!  I'm going to puke!
