I have been without meds since my total thyroidectomy a week or so ago.  I am already experiencing symptoms which include: muscle aches/pains/twitches, insomnia, constipation, out of sorts/restless/"crazy" feeling spells.  I was symptomatic with hypothroidism prior to the surgery.  The meds (levothyroxine) releived my symptoms so I am hopeful this will happen once I have the radioiodine treatment for papillary carcinoma found on path results.

Good luck! Let me know how it goes with the radioiodine treatment- I don't have an appt to discuss that until July14th.

I didn't feel much different after only two weeks. Maybe just a little achy but that's about it.  For me it was the third week where I started to feel out of sorts and didn't want to do much of anything.
