I have a thyroid nodule for 5 years already. I'm 21 years old ,female. I have consulted a thyroid specialist regarding my condition and she gave a prescription of Levothyroxine 100 mg. When I took it for the first time, I noticed that the size of the nodule shrinked. However, i stopped taking the medication for a year already because I can't feel any improvement on the size of my nodule. When I underwent an ultrasound, it revealed a HYPOECHOIC nodule on the upper pole of my right lobe.
I'd like to ask if there's a good chance that my thyroid nodule will be cured by a specific medication?..,Do i need to undergo surgery if the nodule will not be cured by medication alone? I hope you could address my concern . It will help me a lot..thanks
