Thyroid Lump

I posted about a year ago on a Thyroid lump I had. I had a Biopsy done on it and it came back Benign, but the Surgeon wanted it out anyway. But, I have no insurance. So, I went to an Endo to get a second opinion. She said she would have it out too but that it was ok to leave it if it was Benign. So, thats what I did. But, I think it is getting bigger and the right side of my neck is twice the size of my left side. I can still swallow but I have a sore throat every morning. Should I be worried? If so, I just don't have 25,000 to get it out. That is what they quoted me on the surgery. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Some clinics perform the ethanol injection into the nodule; that was effective to shrink ththe cysts and solid nodules. Sould cost less then the surgery.

I was gonna do the shrinking thing but I cant as my levels were normal. So surgery is my only option. It took me....seems like forever....to pay off the first FNA. But if I had to I would do it again. Thanks for posting!

I swear if I had an extra $25000 sitting around, I'd send it right to you!  I'm so sorry you are going through this, but this is no longer an issue of "it's benign so dont worry about it", as it's now growing, bothersome, and causing other problems.

Please go back to the doctor and have it looked at again.  Can you afford another ultrasound and biopsy?  If it's benign, can you afford medicine to shrink it (they have that, dont they?).

Please dont sit back and do nothing.  This is your health, your life.

I'm thinking of you.
