Another Lump?

Ok, so I am really confused here.  I have been on suppresive therapy for a diffuse goiter for about two months now and during that time I have had intermitent pain in my left ear.  I just thought it was allergies(due to the time of year) though I have never had them in my life.  I am also, snoring very loudly at night.  This has been going on for about six months now but again, I didn't think it was relevant to my thyroid and it may not be.  I noticed last night that I have a pretty big lump just below my left ear in my left jaw.  It is just above my goiter on that side.  You can't see it unless I move my neck to the side but I don't have it on the other side at all. It sort of sticks out when i turn my head to the side and it is the size of a small egg and it doesn't move when I touch it.  Is this related to my thyroid or the treatment at all???  I am on Synthroid.  I don't know if I should just watch it or if it deserves a call to the endo or not.  It isn't painful to touch but again, my ears have been slightly hurting off and on for a couple of months.  Please, respond...I don't want to freak over nothing but I would love to know if I should be concerned.

Thanks for the welcome and the advice.  So far, I can't tell the difference.  Sometimes, it seems smaller than at other times but it may be just my imagination but it always feels bigger again in the late afternoons.  The weight isn't going anywhere.  Which I guess that's good because it isn't getting worse.  My memory, is a little better but that may be because I am now taking b12 shots as they (my regular doctor) has decided that I am not asborbing b12 and that adds to the symptoms of memory loss and fatigue.  Does it feel weird to swallow to you?  I can still swollow normally but I feel it and sometimes have to swollow hard.  Does that make sense???  Anyway, I will call the doctor on Tuesday to see what he says about the other lump.  I never thought about it being a cyst.  The other strange thing is that my thyroid is swollen on both sides and this thing is just on the left side.  I don't have nodules in my thyroid either, I don't know if that makes a difference or not but I thought I would mention it.  Let me know, how you are doing and if the meds help you or not.  One more strange question, do you snore?  I started doing it LOUDLY when this goiter came up and it is really bothering me.  I sometimes sleep on the couch just so my husband can get some sleep.  I don't wake up or anything during the night but I don't feel rested....EVER.  I just wondered if you had that problem since our issues seem similar.

I can so totally relate to you.  Have it checked (by anyone who will actually check it).  If it is right above the thyroid, it MAY BE THE THYROID and a large cyst.  If it is not, it can be a lymph node (I have several with ear symptoms right now) and warrants further investigation just to be safe.  How is the synthroid working for you?  I have been on and off and just started it back today - just wondering if it is shrinking the goiter.  Welcome to the community!
