Anyone in Contact with Doctor Norman Concerning Hyperparathyroidism

hi there,

is someone of you in direct correspondence to dr. norman of the www.parathyroid.com website?

I just ask because I may not get contact with him because I´m from overseas. As you can read in my other post I have a lot of symptoms mainly concerning weakness and fatigue. My calcium is always high to elevated but my PTH is just 53.Now I´m not sure if I could have PTH or not?!

Maybe someone could help me to get contact to dr norman because I´m really desperate at the moment...

thx for your help

best wishes

patrick

I also e-mailed Dr. Norman wanting to find someone in the Miami area that does this type of surgery.  He e-mailed that his clinic was the only one.  I don't know whether to go our not, since it is more money, the 4 hour drive and hotel bills.  My scans showed that I do have a tumor (My doctor has been on vacation and will be seeing him next week.).  Is there anybody else out there that has had this operation done in the Miami area?

Here's his email: ***@****

He is very quick in responding. Your PTH is on the high end of normal. You do not need to have elevated PTH to have parathyroid disease. If you have elevated calcium, plus PTH in your levels, you are a good candidate for the disease.

He will not make you fly to Florida unless he is SURE you have the disease. He consulted with me by phone, and advised me to get my Hashimoto's antibodies checked. I ended up having Hashimoto's disease, not parathyroid disease, but my calcium was never very high. I live in San Antonio. I never had to drive to Florida. Send him an email. Make it brief, giving him ALL of your lab values. He will tell you the best step to take.
