I'm having my TT the day after you, May 11. I'm already feeling anxious. How are you doing?
I get the rest of my thyroid removed on May 10th. Had a partial in February. Papillary carcinoma was found so the other side is coming out. Since I know what's coming, it's not so bad. I know that a TT will be worse that a PT, but the recovery was pretty quick. Don't plan on doing anything for at least a few days after the hospital stay. Give yourself that time to adjust. Driving was an issue for me as my car has a huge blind spot and I must really turn my head to see out to the side. I go for pre-admission tests tomorrow morning.
My sister is having her TT on May 10th. She is sometimes on the board here. amyfboyer is her tag. Good luck everyone.
Mine is RAI, no surgery..but best of luck to you!
