I'm having my TT the day after you, May 11.  I'm already feeling anxious.  How are you doing?

I get the rest of my thyroid removed on May 10th.  Had a partial in February.  Papillary carcinoma was found so the other side is coming out. Since I know what's coming, it's not so bad.  I know that a TT will be worse that a PT, but the recovery was pretty quick.  Don't plan on doing anything for at least a few days after the hospital stay.  Give yourself that time to adjust. Driving was an issue for me as my car has a huge blind spot and I must really turn my head to see out to the side. I go for pre-admission tests tomorrow morning.
