How long have you been taking the methimazole?
It's good that you're in therapy for your anxiety; that can be very helpful.
Are you taking medication for either, your hyperthyroidism or your anxiety? Also, are you undergoing any other treatment for your anxiety, such as talk therapy, etc?
Why do you think your post was deleted?
Your doctor is correct that anxiety often goes with hyperthyroidism.
I assume that the 0.02 is a TSH reading. Is that correct? That's very low and I'm not sure why your doctor would say that's "fine".
Is that the only test that was performed? If there were others, please tell us what they were and what the results were. Be sure to tell us what the reference ranges are for each of the tests so we'll know whether your results fall within those ranges or not. Ranges vary from lab to lab and have to come from your own reports.
Your doctor should have ordered tests for Free T4 and Free T3, which are thyroid hormones. Those will tell us what your thyroid is actually producing. Once we know what those are, we can help you better.
