My Dr. found a goiter and nodule on my thyroid about three years ago. One was on the right side and the other on the left. I don't remember what size they were, however, my Dr. told me that they were small enough to just monitor. I haven't had them scanned in almost two years because I haven't had any trouble with them. About two months ago, I started experiencing chest pain. My Dr. told me that I had bronchitis and put me on antibiotics and steriods. That didn't seem to help. Over the last couple of weeks I have still had chest pain along with trouble swallowing food and some throat pain. I have also noticed over the past couple of weeks that I have a very large lump at the front of my neck that is very noticeable in size. Could this just be my goiter/nodule growing? Has anyone else experienced chest and/or throat pain?

I can speculate at this point of possible subacute thyroiditis.

You could have a combo on abnormal thyroid function along with the goiter changing too.

You should have scanned every 6 mths or at least a year.

Get the scan soon.
