Can you take supplements at the same time you take thyroid medication?

I am taking lots of vitamins/minerals to make me healthier as I am sure lots of you are as well.  It was my understanding that you should take any supplement at a different time than your thyroid medication because if you took it at the same time it would effect the absorption.  Is this true or can you take them at the same time? I want to make sure I am getting the most out of my medicine.

You should wait two hours to take any other meds after taking your thyroid med. Supplements are better spaced four hours or more after.

I take my vitamins and supplements at lunch and dinner. Some of my perscription meds won't wait that long, but I give the Synthroid two hours to be absorbed before I take any other meds.

I just discovered that you cannot take calcium and iron within 4 hours of thyroid replacement!
