nodules/lupus

Does anyone in this forum have a connection of Lupus and thyroid nodules?  Any connection to taking methotrexate for extended period of time?  Or prednisone use?  All of these apply to me and have been wondering if these things added to having the nodules.  Don't know yet if they ae malignant or benign.  Should find out tomorrow if Dr will return my call.

Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, fibromyalgia and Hashi's are all auto-immune conditions.  Having one auto-immune disease makes you more susceptible to the others. Oh, what fun!

Starting on methotrexate was the best thing. I feel 80% better during the week, except for the night of and the next day after taking them but it is worth it!

Not that I know of.  When the Drs were trying to dx Lupus, they took a lot of tests, but haven't heard of that one.  Yes, I am hoarse and have a dry cough, I feel a tickle about midway down the trachea and it makes me cough and cough and cough.  Don't know if it is caused by the nodules or not.  Thanks for your post, Donna
