Cortisol no diurnal vairiation

Hi, I recently visited the doctor due to the following symptoms:
fatigue, joint pain in hand and feet and unexplained stretch marks. He did a complete blood test all the results came back normal. I am still waiting results for the Rhuematoid factor and lyme disease. My esonophial level was 0.9 that is a little low according to my labs reference range. My doctor decided to test my cortisol levels due to the unexplained stretch marks,
AM Blood cortisol Serum was 11.2
PM blood cortisol level was 11.4.
I understand that the level is within normal range however it does not have the diurnal variation it is supposed to have. What could this mean? I am not overweight have no excess hair so I really do not meet the criteria for cushing sydnrome. My mom thinks that the tiredness and joint pain is because i am depressed. The truth of the matter is I do feel quiet depressed looking at my new stretch marks all over. I think that the stretch marks were caused by my birth control pill in combination with me always being stressed. When I took the PM cortisol levels. I was running late so I rushed quickly to the lab she immediately took it I thought that it would affect the result. Could stress in the evening cause the level to be the same.

Do you think I have cushing? I hope not help me

The stretch marks make me think of a co-infection that can occur with Lyme or by itself.
It is transmitted by ticks and is called Bartonella.

Do a search and see if the description or pictures match yours.

I know it sounds off the wall, but yo never know.

I don't see Cusings really being the Dx at this time in my opinion.

But your AM level is somewhat low. You should be at ( and should be YOUR highest) around the ranges of 19-23. Then the decrease should happen as the day gets longer and your body need for rest kicks in.

If you suspect cortisol being an issue. The best really definative test would be to get a 24 hr saliva test. Some doctors do it - sometimes you have to order it on your own
