It takes a while. Just be sure to follow up. You're on a small dose, so you'll probably have to adjust it. Best of luck.
Yes, I do, I've gained weight in just a year, and keep gaining despite exercising and eating healthy, and I'm always tired, I could sleep for 12 hours and still feel like I can sleep more, and I'm always cold. Thanks for the feedback, just wanted to make sure how long it took to feel more alert and not so down and sleepy all the time.
It takes 4-6 weeks before the dose you are taking reaches its full potential in your blood. At 4-6 weeks (I'd be happy with 4), you have to have labs drawn again to evaluate what the dose has done. Most likely, a change in dosage will be in order. Until, you are on the correct dose for you (we're all different, and this isn't predictable), both your symptoms and your labs might actually get worse for a while. Every time your dose is changed, you have to wait 4 weeks and do it all over again.
Do you have hypo symptoms?
FT3 range is 2.3 - 4.2 pg/mL - mine is 3.1
Free T4 range is 0.8 - 1.8 ng/dL - mine is 1
Please post the reference ranges for your FT3 and FT4. Ranges vary lab to lab and have to come from your own lab report.
