Do I pursue

Can't get anyone to believe me:  quit smoking two years ago just about when hitting menopause stride.  Bad timing.  All was well for several months but then, quite literally, within a span of three weeks gained 20 pounds.  No exaggeration.  However, I was NOT eating any more and I don't drive so I walk constantly plus workout at the gym three times a week.  It is NOT from lack of exercise.  Gained weight all over--including face and feet in addition to my body.  Went from a size 2 and 4 to a size 8 rapidly.  One year ago nodes discovered on thyroid; biopsied but were benign.  Just had a yearly update scan and all was well.  Blood tests put me firmly in "normal" range for thyroid yet I have now gained ten additional pounds.  Eat only sparingly; low fat.  Have been to a reputable endocrinologist who says she can't do anything cause everything reads "normal".  How can I keep gaining weight without any input (literally) on my part?  Do I push for a second endocrinoloigst?

Oh, yeah, I fully accept that reality but what bothers me is I keep gaining for no reason--I mean how long can that go on?  I really can't eat less nor can I exercise or walk any more than I do.  Doctors say "well, you're not fat".  No, not at the moment but I was 98 pounds two years ago.  This is quite uncomfortable on my arthritic bones.

Not to be personal but could it be meopause age?  I gained just like you a whopping 25lbs for no reason at all .. had nodules dx'd and removed and now on synthroid at exact same weight .. mine was all of a sudden from a 14/16 to size 16/18 1X .. YIKES .. I'm kind of used to it now and accepted it .. in my case it was from getting a bit older ..
