Doctor will only check TSH

I'm so frustrated my former endo & my current PCP will only check my TSH (12.6) they say there is no need for FT3/4

There are several doctors in Kentucky that might fill the bill for you.  Have a look through this link to Top Thyroid Doctors in Kentucky.  These listings of Top Thyroid Doctors are not always correct, but it is much better than starting from scratch looking for a good thyroid doctor.  I always read the patient reviews to see if the doctor listens to the patient symptoms, rather than just going by test results.  Also a good indicator if the doctor is willing to prescribe meds containing T3, rather than only prescribing T4 meds.

I'm in Kentucky and would be willing to drive anywhere to find a good endo!

Well, onde TSH is the stimulant hormone, many doctors believe if it's high and T4 is normal, you only need to check TSH hence if it's high it may be because your body need more T4, even if your T4 is normal.

Based on that erroneous info, those two should be your former Endo and PCP.   Where are you located?  Perhaps a member can recommend a good thyroid doctor, or we can help find a suitable doctor.
