No, but make sure your doctor knows that you took it and that your FT3 is probably going to seem high because of it.
I sure wish I had read that before I went for blood drawing this morning. I took my Armour. I have trouble finding my way around the posts here. should I get blood re-drawn?
That's a very good idea. The initial dose we're put on is seldom where we end up. Don't take your Armour on the day of the test before the blood is drawn.
I started the Armour in late February, and have not been re-tested since, but I guess I'd better find time for an appointment.
Low thyroid may not kill me but falling asleep driving is likely to. I had no symptoms this bad prior to starting the Armour but my T3 and T4 weren't too bad then. will get tested next week and check in. Thank you
It shouldn't. However, you're on such a small dose that it might actually be counterproductive, i.e. lowering your FT3 and FT4 by inhibiting the production of endogenous hormones. How long have you been on Armour? Have you retested at all since?
