I have reposted the question, as it was re-directed to the community forum, and not the 'ask a doctor' as the 'quota was full' for the day. I give up...nobody seems to have any clue what a HIGH PTH and NORMAL calcium level means and what it can do to your body. We've gone round and round too long...I've dealt with cancer, so I'm not worrying about this any longer...the level came back today with the *STAT* PTH being 353, and the regular PTH blood labs at 320. It's high...calcium is normal. I still believe in my OWN theory that radiation 2 years ago spiked the PTH, as it's been exceedingly high since then, with NO other labs being 'abnormal'. Since calcium is normal, guess there's no worry of bone loss (and bone scans are done frequently due to cancer diagnosis). Thank you for your concern...juli
Welcome. Don't give up!! Why not repost your questions and info and see if some of the members can help you out. There are some very knowledgeable people here that are always willing to help out.
Thank you for your response...seems I repost the question, and the quota is 'filled for the day'. It would seem if a doctor asks you questions in his response back to you, then you answer the questions and fill in more info to send back to him, he then could answer the second query? Seems redundant to repost the questions and answers again? It's okay, I give up here...there seem to be no answers to my particular medical issue anyway.
Thank you...juli
Hi, you'll have to try to repost .. Dr. Lupo usually doesn't reply back after the initial posting but WELCOME to the patient community .. Feel free to repost your entire question here for some more input.
